
On May 8, 1926, Sir David Frederick Attenborough was born in England. He is a writer, broadcaster, naturalist, and biologist.
Most notably, he and the BBC Natural History Unit co-created the nine natural history programs that make up the Life collection, an in-depth study of the animal and plant life on Earth.
Attenborough served as BBC Two’s controller and BBC Television’s head of programming during the 1960s and 1970s. At the time, he was a senior executive with the BBC. For eight decades, he has been a writer, a presenter, and a storyteller. Natural World, Wildlife on One, the Planet Earth trilogy, The Blue Planet, and its follow-up are among his published works. He first became well-known in 1954 as the Zoo Quest emcee.
